WHAT is AMANI?  AMANI is a Swahili word which means PEACE.

The AMANI FESTIVAL is a multi cultural festival designed to bring people together in celebration so that all can enjoy the varied cultures and ethnic groups that contribute so much to our communities.   This annual one-day celebration features various forms of multi cultural entertainment, ethnic foods and unique arts, crafts and clothing.

The Amani Festival Committee would like to invite you to participate in this unique celebration filled with harmony and sharing.  THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS

WHY?

Of the many events that have been planned within our community none had celebrated our rich cultural diversity.  Therefore, in 1994,  a group of interested citizens formed the Amani Festival Committee with the mission of planning an annual event which would give us an opportunity to learn and appreciate our commonalities, as well as the differences of our many cultures.

HOW?

The Amani Festival Committee encourages interested citizens to serve and assist in a variety of roles.  Additionally, it seeks the participation and support of local businesses and organizations.
