Amani Vendors

 


In a relatively short time, this event has developed into one of the finest cultural extravaganzas in South Central Pennsylvania.  The celebration has grown bigger and better each year with a reported 10,000 visitors to the recent Amani Festivals which hosted over 60 food and craft vendors and a bevy of great entertainment.


It is our belief that through the Amani Festival we can build bridges which lead to a greater understanding of the value of diversity and unity amongst the peoples of our community.  We cannot accomplish this mission without your participation.  There will be many spaces reserved for vendors offering multi-cultural cuisine, clothing, art, jewelry and crafts.  We would like to invite you to take part in the 2010 Amani Festival and join us for a day of multi-cultural celebration.


All vendor locations will be reserved in order of application acceptance; therefore, it is important to get yours in early.  Please review the materials enclosed in this packet and feel free to contact us for additional information.  


In appreciation of your participation and support, we will once again be offering a reduced rate for applications received before Thursday, December 31, 2009.  We sincerely hope to have you in attendance this coming year.


Please review the following Festival rules and complete the Vendor Application below:

1.  Exhibitors Fees:  Regular Registration (deadline April 1, 2010) - $60.     Early Registration (deadline December 31, 2009) - $50
(Half spaces are available at $40 regular registration fee or $30 early registration fee for those that need only a small space.) 

2.  Set-up will be from 6:30 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. Saturday, May 1.  All tables and chairs must be furnished by the exhibitor.  Displays must be freestanding facing the foot traffic.  Parking passes will be provided.  Exhibitors must stay open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Limited electricity may be available upon request.  Please indicate on the application if electricity is needed.

3.  Spaces will be reserved on a first come, first serve basis.  Upon receipt of registration and payment, you receive a letter of acceptance.  Two weeks prior to the Festival additional information will be provided.   

4.  The Amani Committee has the right to refuse a prospective exhibitor’s application with notice and refund of registration fee.

5.  Each space will be approximately 10' x 20'.  If you need assistance determining your space requirements, please note this on the application and call or email us.  Trash receptacles will be provided, but you are responsible for your own trash disposal.

6.  Please demonstrate your craft or ware.  For clothing and jewelry, it is appropriate that you wear your goods.

7.  Rain or Shine.  No refunds; no exceptions.  This is an outdoor event.  We plan on providing good weather, but we can’t promise it! 

8.  All first-time exhibitors must submit 2 photographs of their work with their application.  These can be submitted via email if desired.   Hard copy photos will not be returned.

9.  The AMANI Festival Committee, Inc. will not provide insurance to cover vendors and will not be responsible for injury or loss.

10.  If you are a food vendor, you must specifically identify the ethnicity of the food as well as the type of food you will be selling (i.e., food, Greek, pastry, etc.).  All food vendors MUST provide a Certificate of Insurance listing the AMANI Festival Committee, Inc. as Additionally Insured.  A minimum limit of $300,000 per each occurrence is required.

After taking 2009 to rebuild the volunteer leadership team, it is once again time to start thinking about the upcoming Amani Festival.  We are preparing for an exciting 15th Annual Festival at our original location in downtown Carlisle, and we would like you to be a part of the celebration on Saturday, May 1, 2010.
